The Made by Niki logo was first drafted by illustrator Serge Seidlitz. From this initial sketch I then worked on several iterations to get to the final version. It was refreshing after using Akzidenz Grotesk almost exclusively with MoS to start to play with more cursive styles. The box for online orders was designed with a built in handle and hidden compartment containing order information and promotional materials. My creative role often extended to copywriting and photography, as shown here with the ‘Slinkies’ photshoot.
Made by Niki was an award winning, high-end fashion lingerie brand created by my wife and I in 2006. My primary responsibilities were for the sales and distribution of the seasonal collections to over 100 retailers across 17 countries, including Selfridges, Lane Crawford (HK), Coco De Mer, Fortnum & Mason, House of Fraser and De Bijenkorf. As the brand director I art directed and designed all sales and marketing materials for both online and print.
