Each cover shot has a connection with music / clubbing. I would often come up with headlines for various features. I worked on the magazine from launch up to the sixth issue before handing over the reigns. The Kylie cover with the fluorescent green text was the initial design. The green echoed the headphones. However, Dennis publishing (who had final say) said that because green is a ‘low frequency colour’ it would not work as a cover, try telling Charlie XCX that.
