I enjoy creating images that can communicate an idea and/or a feeling in a bold and fun way. The ‘Vortex’ illustration (first image on the orange background) was originally a T-Shirt design for the band EMF. It was my first foray into the world of professional design. I was still at college and drew the original concepts on bits of paper I found during my summer job making Ribena. Despite the band liking the designs, the management wanted to go in a different direction. It was my first real-world creative lesson. Sometimes rejection is a good thing. I retained the designs and licensed them to a store in Camden Market who went on to distribute them worldwide selling over a million units.
