Promotions for Ibiza on the island itself are not known for their subtlety. Whereas in the UK we could play with various concepts (Technics 1210 press ads pictured), when it came to promotion on the island it was mostly about big type, DJs and bright colours. After playing with the logo in numerous configurations I noticed something that was staring me in the face all the time - by cropping in tightly on the logo it revealed the word ‘TRY’.
