When I suggested asking Sir Peter Blake to illustrate the sleeve for this release I don’t think anyone at the label thought he would say yes. But if you don’t ask, you don’t get. Meeting the person that was responsible for creating one of the greatest album covers for one of the greatest albums by one of the greatest bands of all time is sort of daunting. Peter was an absolute diamond and made me so at ease. He operates in a way and in a universe that we could all learn from. His studio / museum is a thing to behold, in itself it is a work of art.

A painted portrait of an elderly man with light skin and white hair, resting his chin on his hand, with a dark green background. The man is wearing a ring with a black stone on his right hand. Text on the top left corner refers to John Peel and a quote about right time, wrong speed. Handwritten text at the bottom reads: 'John Peel — Right time, wrong speed. Peter Blake. 06.'
An elderly man with glasses and a white beard, wearing a white shirt and black vest, sits in a wooden chair and holds a portrait painting of a woman with glasses, with a background of green hues. The room has a cluttered wooden work table with art supplies, a colorful patterned rug, and artwork in the background.
